The Henan Province Sericulture Industry Science and Technology Commissioner Service Team went to Nanzhao County to provide technical services
In late November, accompanied by Zhao Tiecheng and Zhang Desen, deputy directors of the Nanzhao County Sericulture Center, the Henan Sericulture Industry Science and Technology Commissioner Service Team visited Bailin Village, Xiaodian Township, Nanzhao County, and the east side of the Nanzhao Sericulture Center. Zhuang Tussah Silkworm Demonstration Base, Nanzhao Yuda Sericulture Cooperative, and Nanzhao County Nanhedian Sericulture Original Breeding Farm provide technical services and distribute sericulture materials.
Berlin Village is a traditional tussah-raising village and one of the key tussah bases in Nanzhao County. The service team conducted an on-site inspection and technical guidance on the seed production farm in the village, and popularized relevant technical knowledge on winter protection of seed cocoons, seed cocoon hanging, pupal development regulation, hair moth regulation, etc. to the seed production personnel on site.
At the Nanzhao Sericulture Center Dongzhuang Tussah Demonstration Base, the service team conducted an on-site inspection of the silkworm slopes, provided “one-on-one” personalized guidance to technicians and silkworm farmers, and popularized ecological tussah garden construction technology , improving the business skills of technicians and silkworm farmers.
Liu Chao, head of the Nanzhao Yuda Sericulture Cooperative, introduced the business operations of silkworm breeding and sales, purchase and sale of sericulture materials, and the development of tussah pupae and tussah moths. Members of the service team conducted an on-site investigation of the cooperative’s seed production base and cold storage facilities to provide technical support to promote the development of the enterprise.
At Nanhedian Sericulture Original Breeding Farm in Nanzhao County, experts from the service team provided personalized technical guidance and popularized seed cocoon protection, shake selection, and mother seed quality inspection and other technologies have improved the production technology level of technicians and silkworm farmers.
The service team also distributed free electric branch shears, lithium-powered hand saws, brush cutters, Hercules shears, sickles and other sericulture supplies to Berlin Village and Dongzhuang Silkworm Demonstration Base of Nanzhao Sericulture Center. Since the beginning of winter, the service team has carried out technical reports at the sericulture base in Nanzhao County many times, which has promoted the improvement of sericulture technology and provided strong scientific and technological support for the development of local sericulture.
