“Silk Yun Liu Fang” provincial traditional craft workstation unveiled to explore new measures for the inheritance and development of Pu silk
Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the “Silk Rhythm Liufang” provincial traditional craft workstation hosted by the Tongxiang Municipal People’s Government and the provincial intangible cultural heritage Pu silk weaving technology “Zhejiang Textile Standard” group standard conference were held in Puyuan held. As the first traditional craft workstation in Tongxiang City, the “Silk Yun Liufang” provincial traditional craft workstation was officially unveiled. This not only means that representatives of Pu silk, silk painted silk, etc. The sexual sericulture and silk weaving intangible cultural heritage project will be better inherited and developed, and will help Tongxiang build a silk brand matrix, allowing traditional craftsmanship to be integrated into modern life faster and better, and empowering industrial development.
The provincial intangible cultural heritage Pu silk weaving technology “Zhejiang Textile Standard” group standard was also released at the same time. The release of this standard will serve as a good example for the standardization of textile and silk intangible cultural heritage project products in Zhejiang Province.
At the event site, Feng Jiyan, the representative inheritor of Pu silk weaving technology, donated the Pu silk work “Spring Morning in Nanhu” to the Tongxiang Municipal Government. “The establishment of collective standards for Pu silk weaving techniques will better promote the industrialization of Pu silk and allow Pu silk, an intangible cultural heritage product, to truly ‘enter the homes of ordinary people.'” Feng Jiyan introduced.
Pu silk is produced in Puyuan, Tongxiang. It is one of the famous silks in the history of our country. It is known as “the best silk in the world” and is a distinctive cultural symbol of Puyuan and even Tongxiang. However, due to historical and other reasons, Pu silk has gradually faded out of the public eye in modern times, and the inheritance of Pu silk weaving skills has also stagnated.
In 2009, Pu silk weaving skills were included in the third batch of representative projects of Zhejiang Province’s intangible cultural heritage. In recent years, Puyuan has continuously increased its efforts to protect Pu silk. It has not only established Feng Jiyan as the representative inheritor of Pu silk weaving craftsmanship, but also connected with national silk intangible cultural heritage project experts to explore new measures for the inheritance and development of Pu silk, and paved the way for Pu silk. A cultural symbol injects new vitality.
