Han Wei, a cotton farmer in the fourth village group of Donghaizi Village, said: “My family has planted a total of 800 acres of land. Mainly Cotton pickers are used to harvest cotton. Only about 10 acres of land are picked by hand. A large cotton picker can harvest more than 200 acres of land in one day. In the past, at least 50 flower pickers were hired to work for several days. This year, Cotton is growing well, and the yield per mu can reach 460 kilograms. Using mechanized cotton picking, you can pick up to 90,000 kilograms of flowers in one day!” Speaking of the convenience brought by mechanized harvesting, Han Wei’s face was filled with the joy of a good harvest. The spread of mechanization has made it easy for farmers to grow cotton.
