In December last year, Yudu County held the first “New Long March Cup” National Green Denim Creative Works Competition Finals. This year is the second time the event is held. Since the first round of notifications was released on June 11 this year, relevant people from industrial clusters across the country have actively participated in creative production, and nearly 300 creative works have been shortlisted for the preliminary round. The preliminary competition was held at the Yudu Denim Industry Research Institute of Wuhan Textile University, and 50 outstanding works were selected to enter the finals, and an 8-day online public review was conducted.
The finals adopt the method of model catwalk, and the judges will score the works on the spot according to the fashion, design concept and environmental protection craftsmanship of the works. The preliminary scores, online voting scores, and final on-site show scores were added up to get the final score. After fierce competition, the competition awarded a total of first, second, and third prizes, as well as the Excellence Award, “Future Star” and other awards. The holding of this competition not only displays fashionable and beautiful design concepts, but also embodies environmentally friendly craftsmanship and promotes the green development of the denim industry in the future.
In recent years, Yudu County has focused on building the “Fashion City” brand, always insisting on the textile and clothing industry as the first industry, and the industry has developed from “small and scattered” to “clustered”, showing “strong momentum, comprehensive platforms, and rapid transformation” , good stamina with sufficient stamina. At present, there are more than 3,000 textile and garment companies in Yudu, and the industry’s output value has exceeded 60 billion yuan. Among them, the denim industry has developed rapidly. Currently, there are more than 300 denim companies with an annual output of 50 million pieces of denim clothing, which has promoted the high-quality development of the textile and clothing industry in Yudu County.
