As one of the oldest fiber fabrics in the world, ramie fabric is made of natural fibers from ramie produced in China , with antibacterial, dust removal and insect-proof functions. Can be washed in cold or hot water. It’s best to machine wash and hang to air dry (make sure to smooth out any wrinkles before drying), then store flat. If left hanging, the clothing fibers may break and be damaged.

Rayon

Rayon is made from renewable cellulose (aka wood pulp). Like acetate, rayon shrinks and becomes weaker when wet. Can be hand washed in cold water, laid flat to dry, or dry cleaned. If ironing is required, iron the reverse side with an iron while the garment is still damp.

Satin

A dress usually used for evening parties or other formal occasions. This kind of silk fabric is relatively heavy, with a smooth and shiny surface and a dull color on the back. It is best to hand wash the garment inside out in cold water and allow it to air dry.

Seersucker

A light, wrinkled cotton fabric, mostly used to make summer clothes. Mostly striped or checkered, with slight wrinkles. Most seersucker garments have a cotton lining, making them easy to hand wash and air dry. After washing, press the seersucker fabric carefully to remove larger wrinkles while maintaining the charm of subtle wrinkles.

Rex gold tweed/tweed

Typically made from acetate or rayon, it is often used to make vintage-style men’s suits. Rex gold baize is made of two different colored threads woven diagonally on pure white fiber fabric. So as the light changes, there will be two shades of sheen. Acetate and rayon shrink quickly when exposed to water, so this fabric requires professional dry cleaning.

Silk

This is a high-tenacity, lustrous fabric made of silk. It’s perfectly fine to hand wash silk because, like our hair, silk is essentially a protein. Care for your silk clothes like you care for your hair, it’s that easy. Don’t soak for longer than ten minutes, and never spray deodorant or perfume on silk. Silk is prone to sweat stains, so consider using sweat-proof patches.

Spandex

A durable, ductile man-made fiber with good elasticity, usually used to make swimwear, bras, leggings, and sportswear. Lycra is the leader in spandex and is usually used to make slightly higher-grade underwear. Spandex is machine washable in warm water and air-dries in minutes. The odor of sportswear made of spandex may linger for a long time. Pre-soaking it in a mixture of one cup of white vinegar and one liter of cold water for 30 minutes before washing in warm water will usually eliminate all odors. Do not use fabric softener as it can pool on the fabric and leave marks.

Suit material

A well-woven, high-quality wool fabric that can be used to make suits, trousers, coats, skirts, etc. Suiting garments are almost always lined, and most jackets have a layer of heat-bonded fabric or canvas on the inside, making them dry-clean only. But too frequent dry cleaning may cause your clothes to become rough and appear orange peel texture. To avoid this, you can use anti-sweat patches so sweat stains won’t stick to your clothes. Hang your clothing in a well-ventilated area so it feels brand new when you put it back on.

Taffeta

A neat, smooth fabric made from rayon, often used to make wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and curtains. Glossy and sparkling. Taffeta loses its neatness and shine once it comes into contact with water, so it’s best to have it professionally dry cleaned.
