10 China’s end-use demand for polyester bottle flakes decreased relatively in March, and major end-use soft drink manufacturers have successively reduced operations. In November, most beverage manufacturers entered the maintenance period ahead of schedule. The market price of RMB against the U.S. dollar has slightly decreased, and exporters’ profit margins have narrowed. However, considering the export situation in previous years (the export volume in November has been higher than that in October in the past three years), it is expected that the export volume of polyester bottle flakes in November may be higher than that in October. It was flat in October. At present, most manufacturers have inventories of more than 20 days, and the pace of shipments is slow. Although mainstream manufacturers such as Sanfangxiang, China Resources, and Wankai have reduced production and load, and shut down operations in Chenggao for maintenance, the inventory pressure in the bottle flake industry is difficult to release in the short term. Overall, the export of polyester bottle flakes may remain high in November.
