The loose edge of satin fabric refers to the phenomenon of looseness on both sides when weaving polyester FDY (especially large glossy yarn) satin fabric with a water-jet loom. In severe cases, the opening is unclear and the weft insertion is difficult. Affects loom efficiency. Some factories use the method of covering the spindle roller with a cloth layer, but in the long run, it will cause damage to the winding rollers, bearings, bearing seats, etc. Therefore, we should adopt active and effective methods to eliminate this defect.

(1) How did Songbian come into being? There are several reasons.

①Improper selection of edge organization and number of reeds. There are too many intertwining points in the edge tissue. Although the edge will not loosen, the intersection of the satin texture warp and the edge tissue at the side end of the nozzle is prone to wide warp phenomenon. Therefore, many manufacturers prefer to choose a side weave with fewer interweaving points. However, due to the difference in weaving shrinkage between the two side weaves, loose edges will occur after a certain length of fabric is woven. Improper selection of the number of edge teeth can also cause loose edges. ②The acanthose on both sides of each acanthus roller in the winding part is worn. Since the width of the weaving shaft gradually narrows to the width of the cloth shaft during the operation of the loom, the tension on both sides of the cloth is greater than that of the middle part, and the wear on the acanthus is also relatively large. Over a long period of time, the wear of the acanthus on both sides is greater than that on the middle part. The acanthosis of the area causes the gray fabric to relax on both sides. ③The warp yarns on both sides of the weaving beam have a tendency to relax. During the preparation process of the weaving beam, from the warping creel to the warping beam, from the warping beam to the pulp beam, and then from the pulp beam to the weaving beam, the total amplitude of the warp sheet is It is changing, so the degree of repeated stretching of the warp yarns on both sides is higher than that of the middle part. Its shrinkage tendency is weaker than that of the middle part, so it is easier to relax when unwinding on the loom. . ④ The process parameters of the loom are improperly adjusted, and the water jet collides with the side warp threads during weft insertion, causing the water jet side warp to relax. (2) The following measures can be taken to solve loose edges. ① Reasonably select the edge weave and the number of edge tooth penetrations. It is recommended to use a variable weight flat weave. The number of weft cycles should be determined after repeated tests on the loom, generally up to 20~40. It is also possible to increase the number of side reed penetrations without adding additional side weave, but this product is often not popular with customers. ② Regularly check the condition of the acanthosis roller. If any wear (especially wear on both sides) or degumming is found, it must be replaced or repaired in time. ③ In each process of preparing the weaving beam, try to ensure the consistency of the edge yarn tension and the warp yarn tension in the middle, reduce the difference in warp sheet width, and ease various edge yarn folding angles. For example, a yarn board is added between the warping creel and the fixed-width reed. During the sizing process, the yarn sheets are evenly divided in the first fixed-width reed, thereby easing the stretching of the warp yarns as much as possible.

④ Reasonable adjustment of the loom process to avoid water jets from impacting the side warp. In addition, the total tension of the warp wires should not be too large. Appropriately reducing the height of the back beam can also alleviate the loose edge situation. </p
