At the end of December, the holidays for various factories in Hebei have been clarified, and many have issued holiday notices to allow workers to prepare for leaving the factory in advance. According to the author’s understanding, the holiday time of each factory and the basic situation of their respective work are as follows:
Affected by the steam shutdown time of thermal power plants, most printing and dyeing companies set their holiday time between January 5th and 16th. At present, various printing and dyeing companies are finishing up some orders on the one hand, and clearing out warehouses on the other hand. Gray fabrics that have been left for too long are required to be returned from the warehouse in a timely manner to prevent losses or mildew, and processed finished products are required to be released from the warehouse within a time limit. The person in charge of a printing and dyeing enterprise in Gaoyang, Hebei Province said that this year, printing and dyeing enterprises have relatively concentrated holidays, and most of the start-up times are concentrated between the ninth and twelfth day of the first lunar month. Only a few companies will start work after the 16th day of the first lunar month.
The holidays for gray fabric manufacturers are concentrated from January 6th to 15th, which is slightly earlier than last year, and the start of work is basically after the tenth day of the first lunar month. Due to the shrinking domestic sales of gray fabrics this year, most manufacturers have high inventories and urgently need to clear their inventories. Therefore, each factory has issued a notice to salesmen and merchandisers to clean up the inventory before December 31, and complete the exit procedures with relevant receipts if they need to be shipped out of the warehouse. In addition, most manufacturers have arranged for workers to be on duty during the holidays. Workers from other places can buy tickets to go home before the peak of Spring Festival travel, while local workers are arranged to go home later or take turns to be on duty.
Traders have a later holiday, usually after January 17th. According to feedback from yarn and gray fabric traders in the Hebei and Shandong areas, the business gets busier towards the end of the year. Seeing that all downstream factories are planning to close for the holidays, but not much payment has been received. On the 25th, a gray fabric trader in Dongying, Shandong Province said that not only has orders dropped significantly this year, but also having to pay accounts at the end of the year is even more of a headache. Especially this year, the cotton spinning market is not good, and customers do not have sufficient funds on hand. Most traders face the risk of prolonging the account period.
The holiday time of yarn companies is basically synchronized with that of printing and dyeing companies. Most of the start-up times are after the tenth day of the Lunar New Year. About 20% of small factories have extended the holiday to start work around March 1. Although textile companies mostly produce according to orders, product inventories are still at a high level near the end of the year, and reducing prices to remove inventory is also their current priority.
The new year is approaching, and the holiday schedules of various companies have basically been announced. The number of active days in the cotton spinning market is relatively limited, with less than a month left. The main work of various companies recently is to clean up inventory goods and collect debts. , the purpose is only to realize cash at the end of the year. As the saying goes, “Every year is about to pass, and every year is about to pass.” </p
