On the morning of February 28, the “cloud” meeting of third-level cadres in Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province was successfully held. At the meeting, the Xinfengming headquarters building and the other 11 projects in Tongxiang City started “cloud” work together.
The company building project has a total investment of 518 million yuan and adopts international design standards. It is a complex A modern building integrating smart office and conference. The project covers an area of 12.3 acres, with a total construction area of 58,000 square meters, 30 floors on the ground, and a total height of 160 meters. It is planned to be completed and put into use in May 2023. After the completion of the project, it will form a landmark with the Xin’ao headquarters building to represent China’s textile enterprises. It is a modern high-rise building complex and is also the “Gemini” landmark building in Tongxiang City.

The chemical fiber industry has always been an important pillar industry in Tongxiang City. Since the transformation and improvement of the traditional chemical fiber manufacturing industry was launched in 2017, as of the end of 2017, there were 82 enterprises above designated size in the industry, 10 more than the previous year; the industrial output value was 46.98 billion yuan, an increase of 30.4% over the previous year, accounting for 10% of the city’s industrial output. 31.3% of the total output value; the industrial added value was 6.51 billion yuan, an increase of 35%, accounting for 23% of the city’s industrial added value; the profit was 3.27 billion yuan, an increase of 22.4%, accounting for 30.9% of the city’s total profits. At present, the city’s chemical fiber industry products have been exported to more than 50 countries and regions around the world. Among them, Tongkun Group has become the polyester filament manufacturer with the largest production capacity and output in the world for many years in a row.
Thirteen years later, the chemical fiber industry has entered a period of deep adjustment. The output value and profits of chemical fiber enterprises in Tongxiang have declined, and constraints on development have become increasingly apparent. First, raw materials are heavily dependent on imports and are greatly affected by fluctuations in international crude oil prices. Second, industrial supporting capabilities are low and the level of collaboration is not high. Third, industry development is mainly based on the expansion of conventional fiber production capacity, and product homogeneity is relatively prominent. The self-sufficiency rate of high-end products is low.
