Dongying Weilian Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 2.5 million tons/year PTA (purified terephthalic acid) project officially signed an engineering design contract

Recently, Wison Engineering (stock code: 2236.HK) and Dongying Weilian Chemical Co., Ltd. officially signed an engineering design contract for the 2.5 million tons/year PTA (purified terephthalic acid) project. The scope of the contract covers the PTA process Engineering design of installations and supporting public auxiliary projects and coordination with procurement and construction.
As one of Shandong Province’s key provincial construction projects in 2020, Dongying Weilian’s 2.5 million tons/year PTA project is expected to be put into production in the second quarter of 2022. After the project is completed, it will further improve the company’s crude oil-aromatics-polyester industry chain and create a 100-billion-dollar refining and chemical integrated park. It will have important strategic significance for the transformation and upgrading of local refining companies, and the extension of the regional petrochemical industry structure to high-end and refined development. . This project is the second cooperation between Wison Engineering and BP on the PTA project after the Xinfengming project. Previously, the two parties had achieved their first cooperation in China’s largest PTA device to date – Xinfengming Group’s Zhejiang Dushan Energy Phase I 2.5 million tons/year PTA project. The project was launched with one click on October 30, 2019 and was successfully put into production. It marks the successful combination of BP’s latest generation PTA production technology and Wison Engineering’s rich PTA project design experience, and has received high recognition and attention in the industry. The Xinfengming Phase II 2.5 million tons/year PTA project jointly developed by the two parties has also successfully completed the design.
