With the rapid development of 5G technology, the textile industry has accelerated its in-depth integration with the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, etc., which has greatly promoted the integration of resources, reshaped the industrial chain, and continuously released the potential of the industry. The intelligence of textile machinery is the basis for intelligent weaving in the textile industry. Although my country’s textile equipment has made great progress in recent years, and some equipment has reached the international advanced level, the overall innovation capabilities of domestic enterprises still lag behind the world’s top enterprises. At present, the global textile machinery market is still monopolized by Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Japan and other countries. The industry leaders all have a long history of development and significant brand awareness. It is necessary for Chinese enterprises to learn from these internationally renowned enterprises and use their strengths to make up for their own shortcomings.

Based on this background, this article selects five major companies in the field of textile machinery – Rieter, Saurer, and Murata Machinery, Stäubli and Savio, use patent data to analyze their technology development trends and patent protection models, explore their development and growth paths, and provide reference for the transformation and upgrading of Chinese textile machinery companies and the creation of international brands.

01 Overall patent situation of the five major textile machinery companies

Textile machinery The technology is relatively old and has a large number of patents, but most of the early patented technologies are outdated and have little reference value. Therefore, when this article searched the textile machinery-related patents of the five major companies in the field of textile machinery, the patent data from 2010 to 2019 was selected. In order to explore the innovation trends and future main technological development directions of the textile machinery industry through patent analysis, it can provide reference for the development of domestic enterprises.

Textile machinery is a variety of mechanical equipment needed to process natural fibers or chemical fibers into textiles. There are many types of textile machinery, with different machine structures, uses and performances. In the indexing process of this article, the classification principles adopted are shown in Table 1.

By sorting out the group company structures of the five major companies, each company and its subsidiaries and branches will be the main application entities. , the search range is 2010-2019. The search results are processed and analyzed, and patents unrelated to textile machinery such as textile materials are removed before indexing. Subsequent statistical analysis of patent data will be conducted based on the indexing results (see Table 2).

Figure 1 shows the application trend of textile machinery-related patents by the five major companies from 2010 to 2019. Rieter’s total number of applications Significantly higher than other companies, the annual application volume peaked around 2016; Saurer’s application trend is similar to Rieter, but the number of applications each year is less than Rieter; Murata Machinery’s application volume is in the middle of the five applicants, There has been a downward trend in recent years. The annual application volume of Stäubli and Savio has not changed much. The overall application trend is relatively stable, with the annual application volume being 70 or less than 50.

Table 3 shows the five major technical fields of textile machinery (spinning machinery, weaving machinery, chemical fiber machinery, dyeing machinery, etc.) Distribution of annual patent applications (machinery, nonwoven equipment). Although the number of applications changes each year, due to the high concentration, the application trend is consistent with the overall trend in Figure 1.

As shown in Figure 2, from 2010 to 2019, the technology distribution of textile machinery-related patents of the five major enterprises is relatively concentrated. Patent applications in the field of spinning machinery accounted for 74.9%, which is much higher than other fields such as weaving machinery. The number of patents in the field of non-woven equipment is very small, accounting for 0.4%. Therefore, it can be judged that the five major companies have less investment in R&D in the field of non-woven equipment and are not their key technical areas.

Figure 3 is a comparison of the five major categories of first-level technologies in Figure 2 (spinning machinery, weaving machinery, chemical fiber machinery, dyeing machinery Detailed classification (secondary and third-level) of whole machinery and nonwoven equipment), in which the green area in the pie chart represents spinning machinery and the orange area represents weaving machinery.

As can be seen from the figure, in the field of spinning machinery, spinning preparation machines, spinning machines and spinning The number of patents in the technical field of weaving transition machines is relatively large; in the field of weaving machinery, the number of patents on main structural components is relatively large. Therefore, it is speculated that the main structural components of looms are the technology-intensive points of weaving machinery.

In Figure 3, the number of patents for chemical fiber machinery, dyeing and finishing machinery and non-woven equipment is small, and their subdivided technical fields are not shown. The main subdivisions are summarized as follows: Chemical fiber machinery The distribution of patents is mainly in melt spinning equipment, and less in other types of machinery; the distribution of patents in dyeing and finishing machinery mainly includes embroidery machines, andThe active detection device is used to continuously detect the spindle production status and send the spindle production status information to the information processing control device. The information processing control device makes judgments and feedbacks, and can easily detect the spindle production status. It detects yarn breakage and accumulation in spindles and handles them accordingly in a timely manner. It has the function of proactively detecting and handling abnormalities, such as automatic splicing and automatic cleaning.

(5) Savio

Savio Company has Several patents involve yarn transfer, winding and fixing devices in weaving machinery. Among them, CN109573735A discloses a spool loading equipment for textile machines, including a dilution device located between the tipper and the belt conveyor. This device separates and separates bobbins from the tipper before being sent out to the belt conveyor, avoiding bobbin clogging in the textile machine sorter and improving the overall efficiency of the system.

With the continuous advancement of “Made in China 2025” and the rapid promotion of the “Internet +” model, in the future, intelligent manufacturing , artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, edge computing and other new technologies will surely penetrate into the entire textile industry. Under the new situation, my country’s textile machinery companies must further promote the intelligentization process, accelerate the integration of information technology, use technological innovation to create new momentum for the textile industry, enhance the innovation and development capabilities of the industry, and accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading. </p
