The announcement stated: In accordance with the “Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Granting Zero Tariff Treatment to 98% of Products of Least Developed Countries” (Tax Commission Announcement No. 8 of 2021), and in accordance with the provisions of the exchange of letters between the Chinese government and the governments of relevant countries, starting from 2022 Starting from September 1, products originating in Togo, Eritrea, Kiribati, Djibouti, Guinea, Kingdom of Cambodia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Rwanda, Bangladesh, Mozambique, Nepal, Sudan, and Solomon A preferential tax rate of zero applies to 98% of imported products from 16 least developed countries, including the Islands, the Republic of Vanuatu, the Republic of Chad and the Central African Republic. Among them, 98% of the tax items are tax items with a tax rate of 0 in the attachment of Document No. 8 of 2021 announced by the Tax Committee, totaling 8,786 items.
