Are canvas and 600D Oxford cloth the same fabric? The answer is of course no.
Oxford cloth, also known as Oxford spinning, was originally a colored fabric. It has the characteristics of easy washing, quick drying, soft hand feel, good hygroscopicity and comfortable wearing. Oxford cloth mostly uses polyester-cotton blended yarn interwoven with cotton yarn, and adopts weft-heavy flat or square weave. 600D Oxford cloth is a relatively common type of Oxford cloth. The warp and weft yarns of this fabric are made of polyester DTY300D yarn, and the thick-point changing permeable tissue is interwoven on a nozzle loom.
Canvas is a thick fabric woven with multi-strand warp and weft yarns. It has the characteristics of being tight and thick, stiff to the touch, strong and wear-resistant.
The difference between the two is that Oxford cloth is generally used on chemical fiber fabrics, has a soft hand feel, good hygroscopicity, and is comfortable to wear. It is easy to wash, quick to dry and elastic. Canvas includes cotton canvas, polyester-cotton canvas, or nylon-cotton canvas, but it has no elasticity, feels a bit hard to the touch, and is wear-resistant. You will notice it after using it for a long time.
