GB8965-98 China National Standard for Flame Retardant Clothing
The China National Bureau of Standards promulgated the industrial flame retardant clothing standard in 1998 with reference to the 1988 standard of the same name and similar international standards. Detailed provisions were made: the overall performance of flame-retardant Oxford cloth clothing, the flame-retardant properties of clothing materials and stitching, the mechanical properties of clothing, the structural design, processing and production of clothing, finished product marking, packaging and transportation, inspection methods, etc.
GA10-91 Performance requirements and test methods for general protective clothing for Chinese firefighters.
Fire-resistant and flame-retardant fabrics will extinguish immediately after leaving the fire. This depends on the temperature and airflow (oxygen) of the fire scene at that time, as well as the length of time in this high-temperature environment. If the oxygen index of textile materials is above 21% (the oxygen concentration in natural air is 21%), the textile product is self-extinguishing. According to the size of the extreme oxygen index, fabrics are usually divided into flammable (LOI less than 20%), combustible (LOI equal to 20%–26%), flame-retardant (LOI equal to 26%–34%) and non-combustible (LOI> 35%) four levels.
Independently developed flame retardant fabrics. According to different requirements of customers, the following specifications are available: 210D, 300D, 420D, 600D, 900D, 1200D, 1680D Oxford cloth, etc., with temporary flame retardant effect, semi-permanent flame retardant effect and durability. The flame retardant effect can also be treated with waterproof, flame retardant, PVC/PU coating, silver coating, composite and other treatments according to customer needs.
