A trader in the market revealed: “Recently, nylon four-way elastic has been selling very well. I placed an order for 40,000 meters with a weaving factory in the early stage, and it was said that it would take more than a week to ship. After asking around in the market, nothing was available. , you have to wait 5-10 days.”
It is understood that the hot sellers this time are mainly 70D and 40D nylon four-way stretch, which are generally used for the production of pants, and some can be used for the production of sun protection clothing. The pants material has no seasonal restrictions and can be used all year round. Hot-selling, and sun protection clothing happens to be a hot-selling product of the season right now. The fabric is mainly sold to Keqiao, Guangzhou and other places. Fabric merchants in these two places prefer foreign trade.
Shengze textile enterprises move forward steadily
Since 2023, textile companies have very high expectations for the market situation. On April 3, the average production and sales of polyester filament rose to 159.6%. Similarly, for the downstream market, the volume of gray fabrics maintains a balance between production and sales. According to data monitoring, the current inventory of gray fabrics in Shengze market is about 34.2 days, which is basically unchanged from last week.
The reporter learned that the current increase in the volume of gray fabrics on the market is closely related to textile companies’ optimism about the future market. The person in charge of a weaving company said: “Although the market is not good now, it does not affect me from running the machine at full speed. It is the beginning of the year, and the plan for the year lies in spring. If I don’t run it now, when will I run it?” The implication is that Yes, even if a business holds inventory now, it can still sell in the second half of the year.
Shengze Textile Enterprises are patient and not impatient
Last week, polyester raw materials continued to rise, causing some weaving companies to enter stocking mode. However, this week, polyester prices fell by about 205 yuan/ton in a week. According to our understanding, the price reduction of polyester yarn has not caused panic among textile enterprises. The average production and sales of polyester yarn this week was 31%, down 41% from last week. On the one hand, this is because weaving companies have stocked up last week; on the other hand, the purchasing pattern of raw materials in the market has always been “buy up, not buy down”.
Regarding the procurement of raw materials, a person in charge of an enterprise said: “The price of raw materials fluctuates too much, so we purchase according to our own purchasing rhythm. When purchasing raw materials for urgent needs, we can maintain an average value regardless of the rise or fall of raw materials.”
At present, the operating rate of water-jet and air-jet weaving enterprises in Shengze is 72.8%, a decrease of 1.8% compared with last week.
The market situation is changing rapidly. The peak season in April is called the “Silver Fourth”. It is precisely because it has reached the end of the peak season that most textile companies are cautious and optimistic about the upcoming market.
