The difference between PU and PVC coated Oxford cloth:
1. In terms of cost, PU is more than twice as expensive as PVC, and good PU is 2-3 times more expensive than PVC.
2. PU is far superior to PVC in terms of external thickness, texture, and feel, as well as internal fastness, stretchability, and toughness.
3. Both PU and PVC are composed of two parts, including their own components and base fabric (some are also called base fabric or back glue). The thickness of the PU itself is generally 12.5px to 25px. The thicker, the better the quality. The thickness of the base fabric layer is 0.5-20px. The base fabric of PU is generally velvet, which is thicker and has dense velvet, while the base fabric of PVC is thin, not to mention very sparse, and some have no velvet at all.
4. PU is generally divided into three grades: high, medium and low, based on thickness and texture. The thicker, the better, and the more realistic the texture, the better. PVC, which is slightly better and softer, can be used as fabrics, but poorer hard PVC can only be used as auxiliary materials.
Luggage fabrics include leather, canvas, Oxford cloth, etc. However, the most widely used ones are PU and PVC Oxford cloth.
