More than 30 people, including heads and technical backbones of 13 silkworm seed production units in the region, and relevant personnel of the Guangxi Sericulture Technology Promotion Station attended the meeting.
The meeting conducted a full exchange of views on the current situation of silkworm seed production and sales and sericulture production. Pan Zhixin analyzed the silkworm seed production situation in 2023, pointing out that with the full opening up of the country’s epidemic management, the silkworm cocoon market has picked up, and the domestic raw silk price has increased compared with last year. Favorable factors such as the market trend becoming optimistic, sericulture production units should maintain sufficient confidence and cooperate with each other to stabilize the price of silkworm seeds. It is recommended that all silkworm seed production units should make overall arrangements for production plans, strengthen mulberry garden management, strengthen production and seed production technology management, further strengthen the prevention and control of silkworm seed particulate diseases, and implement disinfection and disease prevention measures throughout the entire process of silkworm seed production to ensure silkworm seed yields , quality has been greatly improved, and efforts have been made to improve the silkworm production capacity.
The meeting also discussed and reached consensus on matters such as the district’s original seed production plan, silkworm seed guide prices, and digital management of silkworm seed quality supervision.
Finally, Li Biao fully affirmed the outstanding contributions made by the sericulture production units in the region to the development of Guangxi’s sericulture industry. He hoped that the sericulture industry would actively perform its duties, take the initiative, plan projects, pay close attention to innovation, and continue to promote the sericulture breeding base. Construction, improve the comprehensive capacity of high-quality silkworm seed production in Guangxi, ensure a sufficient, safe and stable supply of silkworm seeds in Guangxi, and meet the basic guarantee of seeds for Guangxi’s sericulture industry.
