After Xintang Town completed the cessation of sewage discharge rectification for the first batch of nine heavily polluting enterprises in the Shapu area in January 2019, on January 10 this year, Xintang Town and the Zengcheng District Branch of the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau once again rectified the area. The second batch of four heavily polluting enterprises have fully implemented measures to stop sewage discharge and take practical actions to fight against pollution.

Before the operation was carried out, Xintang Town formulated a special implementation plan and established a work leading group with the head of the town party committee as the general commander. Through cooperation with relevant departments of the town and district, early intervention was carried out to comprehensively strengthen daily law enforcement inspections and policy propaganda, and coordinate properly. We should properly handle the issue of worker wages and encourage heavily polluting enterprises to stop discharging pollutants as scheduled.
At the scene of the operation, law enforcement officers ordered a total of 4 stores including Aoshicheng, Wanshengde, Jinri and Zhifeng The production electricity, boilers and sewage pumps of washing, bleaching and dyeing enterprises were shut down, and the valves of related equipment were locked and sealed.
According to reports, since 2018, 16 sites in the Shapu area with potential environmental risks and gathering points for mass petitions and complaints have been cleaned up. Bleaching and dyeing enterprises will be included in the rectification targets, and through classified and step-by-step advancement, we will strive to achieve a complete cessation of pollutant discharge by December 31, 2020.
