The Sichuan Provincial Silkworm Variety Approval Committee held the third meeting of the seventh session

On March 3, the third meeting of the seventh session of the Sichuan Provincial Silkworm Variety Approval Committee was held in Chengdu. Members of the Sichuan Provincial Silkworm Variety Approval Committee, variety reference units, laboratory identification points, rural identification points, and silk reeling points More than 30 people including representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yanhong, deputy director of the Provincial Silkworm Variety Approval Committee and director of the Provincial Sericulture Management Station.

At the meeting, the Sichuan Provincial Sericulture Management Station reported on the implementation of the silkworm variety identification organization and the variety identification report in 2022. Each identification point and reeling point reported the variety testing situation. Experts discussed the test methods and variety identification in silkworm variety identification. Questions and reviews were conducted on key technology processing, important approval indicators and other aspects.

The meeting reviewed and approved three varieties: “Chuanji No. 1 (Mingshan × Bishui)”, “0833 × 0816” and “Chuajia No. 1” (781 limit·Mei × limit 6·limit 8).

The meeting reviewed and approved four silkworm varieties, including “Zao A×Lan B”, “Chuankang No. 1”, “Jiayou No. 1” and “Leyi No. 1”, to participate in the provincial appraisal in 2023. The meeting reviewed and approved “Sichuan Silkworm No. 31” “Continue to participate in provincial appraisals.

The meeting discussed the 2023 silkworm variety identification test plan.

The product review committee recommended that in accordance with the requirements of the “Notice of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Further Standardizing the Provincial Silkworm Variety Approval Work”, we should seize the time and complete the publicity, issuance of approval opinions, issuance of certificates and announcements in accordance with procedures.
