During the production, the phenomenon of roving breakage was serious, which caused strong feedback from the turners. To this end, the workshop production situation was carefully analyzed, and the technical measures taken were as follows.

01 Improve the evenness of roving

Improve the evenness of roving and reduce the occurrence of roving defects or details. During the process of spinning roving, due to the low temperature and low humidity in the workshop, there are many defects in the roving. The main manifestation is that a small part of the fibers in the drafted beard are adsorbed on the apron under the roving due to electrostatic adsorption, and they are not in contact with the fiber beard. The output direction is opposite, and is instantly taken away by the normal output whiskers, resulting in details and thick spot defects. The fiber whiskers in the roving also change, affecting the normal drafting of the spun yarn. To this end, on the one hand, the temperature and humidity are adjusted, and on the other hand, the antistatic lower rubber ring is replaced, which effectively solves the problem of roving defects.

02 Increase the roving twist coefficient

03 Replace the roving spindle

The unwinding line of compacted roving is long and the unwinding tension is large , if the roving spindle rotates inflexibly, accidental elongation is likely to occur, which may cause the roving to break. Therefore, the operating status of the roving spindle should be comprehensively checked, and the roving spindle that is not flexible in rotation should be replaced.

04 Adjust the position of the yarn guide rod

According to the feedback from the turners on duty, most of the roving breaks occur in The lower half of the roving wrap. Careful observation on the spinning machine revealed that when the roving is unwound to the lower half of the roving package, due to the unwinding angle, the roving strips twist on the surface of the roving, which will form a reverse false twist on a small section of the roving strips, causing the car to be built. Short sections of roving are weakly twisted and pulled apart. For this reason, it was decided to adjust the position of the yarn guide rod from the middle position of the roving package to 1/3 away from the lower half of the roving package, reducing the length of the roving that forms reverse false twist, and effectively reducing the problem of roving breakage in the lower half.
