What is 420d Oxford cloth?
Generally speaking, our polyester or nylon D oxford fabrics are represented by D. D: Denier = g/L*9000, where g is the weight of the silk thread (grams), and L is the length of the silk thread (meters). It represents the weight of the silk thread per unit length and is a unit of yarn fineness. The larger the number in front of D, the thicker the Oxford cloth yarn.
Authentic 420D Oxford cloth is made of 420D polyester yarns in the warp direction and 420D weft direction, and is woven by a plain weave machine. It has been processed through multiple processes such as pre-shrinking, shaping, dyeing, PVC coating, and waterproofing treatment (the finishing is different for different uses). Some people call 2×2 420D Oxford cloth, as shown in the picture above, but this is better than the 420D mentioned above. The density of Oxford cloth is much thinner, the wear resistance is not very good, and the price is cheaper. These two fabrics are used in different aspects, such as advertising aprons, advertising inflators, simple packaging bags, etc. .
This one Oxford cloth is woven from 420D polyester yarn on a flat machine, with a density of 17*18 and a square meter weight of 298. The white embryo 420D Oxford cloth undergoes post-processing (dyeing and waterproofing) in the dyeing and finishing factory. It has the advantages of soft hand feel, light fabric, resistance to twisting, good waterproofness, tear resistance, and anti-static. Mainly used to make tent fabrics, awnings, sporting goods, outdoor products and other functional fabrics.
