The United States makes the third anti-dumping expedited review and final ruling on Chinese art canvases
On June 3, 2022, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement stating that it has made a final anti-dumping review of the third rapid sunset review of ArtistCanvas imported from China. If the ruling is cancelled, The anti-dumping duties in this case will cause the dumping of China’s products involved to continue or reoccur at a dumping rate of 264.09%. The U.S. coordinated tariff numbers of the products involved are 5901.90.20.00, 5901.90.40.00, 5903.90.2500, 5903.90.2000, 5903.90.1000, 5907.00.8090, 5907.00.8010, 5907.00.6000.
On April 28, 2005, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement stating that it would launch an anti-dumping investigation into art canvases imported from China. On June 1, 2006, the U.S. Department of Commerce officially imposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese art canvases. On November 9, 2011, after the United States made its first affirmative final anti-dumping sunset review on the products involved imported from China, the United States continued to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved. On October 3, 2016, the United States launched the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on Chinese canvases. On January 30, 2017, the U.S. Department of Commerce made the second anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on art canvases imported from China. On February 1, 2022, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to launch the third anti-dumping sunset review investigation into art canvases imported from China.
